Disaster Recovery Testing

This means that a system is subjected to a disastrous situation, such as loss of power during a critical backup, to ensure that it can recover correctly and gracefully.

Suppose a fire wipes out the whole computer room. Are there sufficient backups stored off-site to recover and continue with minimal disruption? How long will that take? What will be lost?
